Connections Are Important

God intends for those in local churches to function together as the family of God. As with our natural families, it becomes very important for members of the local church to be together and to have regular and frequent communication with each other. Distance in relationships tend to be disruptive of communication and fellowship, and can limit the forward thrust of the church’s ministry efforts. RSM can help to reconnect your church members and revitalize your ministry.

A Proven Approach

The most spiritually dynamic part of TLC’s capital campaign has consistently been the VIP Ministry Visits and Prayer Vigil. The idea of these VIP Ministry Visits scares most people at first, but by the end of the capital campaign, they have been the most appreciated items by both pastors and people, and most churches vow to continue to use them far beyond the campaign itself. With Dr. Hallett’s history of leading these events since 1985, we are now making these available to churches as a standalone ministry so they can experience this dynamic ministry for themselves.

Church in a Nutshell

The VIP Ministry Visits and Prayer Vigil together have been described as the church in a nutshell, a sample of what people come to church for in the first place. It offers a way to connect at a deeper and caring level both with the church and the other people in it, and to experience the personal renewal and excitement many church leaders dream about for their people.

RSM – A Needed Ministry in a Disconnected World

TLC’s RSM is a Ministry-Oriented renewal ministry that is centered around its VIP Ministry Visits and Prayer Vigil, and is designed to enhance the ministry of the local church by:

Providing personal ministry to each of the church families, letting them know of your care for them and their value to your church family, giving them an opportunity to submit prayer requests and ministry needs, praying for them directly, and gathering info about their family;
Accomplishing a church-wide objective (project), like introducing a new staff member or program to the entire church community, or launching another major emphasis; and
Giving your people the opportunity to become directly involved in a ministry setting with the training to do so and utilizing TLC’s proven approach.

The Objectives of the VIP Ministry Visits

    A.  Cast the VISION and MISSION of your local church. You will help your people understand and support what are your church’s primary mission and vision.

    B.  Distribute and verify INFORMATION. You will distribute information relative to the details of your church’s current project, if any, helping to answer the most commonly asked questions about it. You are also to verify the church’s records about their family.

     C.  Collect any PRAYER REQUESTS and MINISTRY NEEDS each family would like to share with the church. Your people will pray for each of these requests both during the VIP Ministry Visit as well as at the Prayer Vigil.

Leadership of the RSM Team

Training will be provided by TLC Ministries for each part of the RSM either in person, online, or via Skype type of calls, etc.

The Senior Pastor is to be supportive by giving visionary, verbal, and visible leadership.

The RSM Director will give organizational oversight to the entire RSM adventure.

The Visitation Director will enlist the visiting teams and organize the visitation efforts.

The Prayer Vigil Director will organize the Prayer Vigil and enlist leaders for each hour.

The Graphics Director will produce any printed materials and design any online items.

The Event Director will organize a special Vision Event to engage people in the project.

The Communications Director will encourage participation in all aspects of this venture.

RSM Schedule:

• TLC Consultant meets with the church leaders to explain the process, either in person or via Skype, etc.

- Decision by the church to engage TLC Ministries for the RSM

• RSM Prep Meeting with pastor and a couple of church leaders to set the actual schedule and do certain items to prepare for the RSM adventure itself either in person or via Skype, etc.

- Enlist VIP Team and do other preparation items

• TLC Consultant meets with the RSM Team to train them for their responsibilities either in person or via Skype, etc.

- RSM Team enlists members for their individual teams / Graphics Team produces materials

• TLC Consultant meets with everyone enlisted to serve in the RSM adventure to give general instructions, and to meet afterward to train the Visitation and Prayer Vigil teams either in person or via Skype, etc.

- VIP Ministry Visits made, the Prayer Vigil is planned, and all teams work to complete their tasks

- Conduct the Prayer Vigil

• Wrap-up & Next Steps meeting with the Consultant either in person or via Skype, etc. Vision Event celebrates the victories and encourages support of the church’s mission and vision

• Indicates direct involvement by the Consultant
